This is an "out of the box review" that will discuss fit/sizing. I won't use the hoody until this summer. I bought the medium in white. I'm 5'8'' and about 170lbs. The weight is not muscle. It's around my mid-section. The medium fits me as a baggy/loose fit (so the nice 4-way stretch is not really needed for me). I'm pretty sure the small would be

The hoody has generous length past the waist. I can lift my arms in the air and it still rests on my waist, not showing my stomach. The sleeves also go long (so you can put your thumbs in the thumb holes and have sleeve material go over the top of your hand). I wear sun gloves and don't use the thumb holes, so the extra sleeve material bunches up at my wrist (but doesn't look bad or slip over my hand). I think a slim/fit person up to 5'11" or even 6' with a normal length torso would find the medium a good fit. I think someone my height or shorter who is slim/fit might want to choose the small (size comparison: the Forloh medium is bigger and looser fitting than my medium sun hoodies from Patagonia and Columbia, and just slightly bigger than a medium Bassdash). The hood has lots of room and fits loose. I really see it as a hoody that should be paired with a hat. The hood does indeed fit over and 'grab' the brim of my hat and stay in place. If you are in a really windy environment, you'll need to have the hood grab the brim of your hat, or a direct wind is going to blow the loose hood back over your head. As for the anti-odor tech, I have used anti-odor treated synthetic shirts from 6 different companies, and they all work for me. So I have no worries about this hoody. Along with the anti-odor, the insect repellent tech is my main reason for buying this hoody (I hate, hate applying smelly chemical deet repellent). Reviews of (scentless and permanent) Insect Shield permethrin treatment of clothing elsewhere leave me with nothing to worry about with this hoody. Overall, I'm not wearing this hoody for fashion purposes (I have my Patagonia sun hoody for that). I need something for extended backcountry use that keeps me cool, doesn't stink, and keeps away the bugs. Regarding the feel of the material, probably as good as can be expected with the high UPF sun protection rating. As for color, I chose white to get the extra edge in staying cool. But I've resigned myself to the fact that this shirt will eventually pick up some color from the environment. Read LessRead less about This is an "out of the box review"
