FORLOH’s AllClima line features RECCO® technology which makes you searchable to professional rescuers with RECCO® detectors. The RECCO® SAR helicopter detector is designed for a large-scale search of missing persons in open terrain. In order to be located by the signal of the detector one has to be equipped with a RECCO® rescue reflector. With a search corridor up to 100 meters wide, one square kilometer can be searched in about 6 minutes, which equals 30 football fields a minute. The RECCO® technology is a global standard and handheld detectors are carried by professional rescue teams worldwide for avalanche rescue. The reflectors do not replace personal avalanche transceivers and companion rescue but don’t need to be turned on and provide a back-up to always be searchable to professional rescuers. RECCO® reflectors are designed to last a lifetime and do not age or wear out. If not mechanically damaged they will last forever.
UNDETECTABLE BUT SEARCHABLE WITH RECCO® ADVANCED RESCUE TECHNOLOGY
How it Works:
- The RECCO® detector emits a directional radar signal, like the beam of a flashlight.
- When the radar signal hits the RECCO® reflector, it is echoed back to the detector and points the rescuer in the direction of the lost individual.
- The closer the detector gets to the reflector the stronger the returned-signal, ultimately allowing the rescuer to pinpoint.
